2010 PGA Championship

08/18/2010

The 92nd PGA Championship had a little bit of everything: morning fog on Thursday and Friday, stifling humidity on Saturday, a golf course with over 1,200 sand bunkers (or 1,199 if Dustin Johnson had his choice) and a golf tournament that required 3 additional play-off holes to decide who would claim the final Major Championship of 2010! While Martin Kaymer played steady golf throughout all 4 days at Whistling Straits G.C. to earn his 1st career Major victory, ISM clients enjoyed exclusive hospitality hosted at a private venue situated north of the course overlooking Lake Michigan and Hika Bay Bluff!

Along with the gourmet catering, top shelf open bar, Award-Winning Golf Teaching Pro providing in-depth “Power Lessons” to each of our guests, and our private Wine Tasting with Napa Valley vineyard Carneros Della Notte, over 2,000 clients and guests also enjoyed cheese tasting with a private Wisconsin creamery each afternoon and a Saturday evening reception featuring premium cigars as well as an appearance by Ryder Cup legend and “Mr. 59” himself, Chip Beck!

We want to thank the 80+ Midwest companies who chose International Sports Management as their event partner for this instant classic, and look forward to seeing everyone again at our next “Midwest Major”: the 2012 Ryder Cup Matches at Medinah!

31st U.S. Senior Open

08/04/2010

The 31st U.S. Senior Open is in the books and Bernhard Langer of Germany edged out hometown favorite Freddy Couples as Sahalee C.C. hosted the annual senior major Championship which finished on August 1st. ISM guests enjoyed hospitality in a private residence across the street from the course and were treated to incredible catering and wine tasting from our Napa Valley wine partner, Carneros Della Notte. With over 15 Northwest area companies letting us handle their client hosting needs, ISM continues to be the leader in corporate sports hospitality organization. Thanks to all who helped make the event a success!

2010 US Open

07/01/2010

Our ISM hospitality was hosted from the same private estate we use for the AT&T every year atop the 14th Tee Box, and there were perfect views for all to see. A 'neighborhood gate" provided very easy access to all patrons, located about 60 yards from the edge of the home just off the 13th Green. The catering featured tremendous made to order omelets and a bloody Mary and mimosa bar, both a rotating lunch and afternoon menu, and fresh ingredients throughout. All were major hits amongst clients.

2010 Masters

05/02/2010

The 2010 Masters Golf Tournament is in the books and we've learned a few things: 1) After almost half a year off and with tumult surrounding him, Tiger Woods is still dangerous on a golf course. 2) Phil Mickelson's third Green Jacket is a bit smaller than his previous two. 3) ISM's clients love being hosted from our convenient locale just outside the 9th Gate with easy parking on-site, quick course access, and fabulous hospitality from the time the gates open until after the last putt drops. Thanks to all who made this year great and we hope to see you at Augusta next year for the Masters!

The 2010 BCS Championship Game

The BCS Championship Game in sunny Pasadena, CA kicked off the 2010 event season for International Sports Management, as Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram and the Alabama Crimson Tide rolled to their first BCS National Championship after holding off a furious rally by the Texas Longhorns and freshman QB Garrett Gilbert.
